Congratulations to Paige Yount, competitive tennis player and junior at Wenatchee High School, and Actualize Sports Athlete of the Month!
What a journey! Paige entered the Actualize doors at the ready age of 15 with the desire to play tennis at the top of her game, like all the Yount’s do. There is only so much credit Actualize can take when paired with an athlete such as Paige. She is one-of-a-kind when it comes to exceptional athleticism, determination, character, and being a true example of a well-rounded human. Actualize had one job—capitalize on Paige’s strong foundation and encourage and equip her to chase the actualization of her purposes and potential. Paige responded!
Paige has transitioned in-and-out of many different fitness experiences that Actualize has to offer: co-ed small group training, female athlete training, general fitness group training. She even committed to a few weeks of SARQ (speed, agility, reaction, quickness) training with her twin brother and parents at one point to focus on tennis specific skills. Not sure how much of that was her idea but it was an experience non-the-less. I am sure there is nothing more fun than running lines with your sweaty mom and dad. 🙂
Since 2017, flowing in-and-out of seasons of athletics and life, her strength and performance has steadily increased. But here’s where it gets really fun. Paige has recently jumped back into athlete specific training this past year and her results have been stammering. She is training with a group of motivated high school female athletes. We love how group training for athletes creates a competitive yet encouraging environment where participants are called up to their best selves as athletes and humans…and a little girl banter.
It is extremely hard for an athlete who is already strong like Paige to make strength strides over-and-over again, while maintaining their speed, power and athletic elasticity. Add a pandemic and Paige has still managed to keeping reaping the rewards of her commitment and hard work.
Check out some of Paige’s since starting at Actualize (Jun 2017-January 2021):
- Squat – 1 Rep Max: 190 lb to 245 lb
- Front Squat – 1 Rep Max: 155 lb to 190 lb
- Deadlift – 1 Rep Max: 175 lb to 230 lb
- Pull Up – Max Reps: 5 reps to 9 reps
- Vertical Jump: 20.7 inch to 23.5 inch
- Broad Jump: 82 inch to 88 inch
Stay tuned for what’s next for Paige & her athletic pursuits! We are forecasting big strength & speed gains over the next few months. Click here to visit Paige’s Actualize Sports Featured Athlete Page to see all her progress!
We could not be prouder or more impressed with who Paige is as an athlete and human. Keep it up, Paige!
